Smart education is a new trend of world education. In order to build a smart nation, many countries have aimed to build a smart education to train generations of smart citizens. The idea of building a smart university is rooted in the smart city model, with the main goal of making cities a place of good living and citizen-centricity. From the analysis of documents and related research, the author has come up with 5 basic elements of a smart university on the basis of a smart city: Smart People & Living; Smart Economy; Smart Energy; Smart Environment; and Smart Mobility.
