In this study, we aim to present a method to manufacture the anti-icing surfaces on polymer thin films based on a combination of porous nanostructures with lubricating compounds (SLIPs). The porous nanostructures on the aluminum surface after wet etching are combined with a lubricant compound with low surface tension to create a slippery surface for anti-icing purposes. The performance will be investigated by measuring the adhesion force per unit area between the ice and the surface. Survey results illustrated the advantages of SLIPs surface compared to non-functionalized surfaces, demonstrating the superiority of new surface morphology, stability, high reusability, manufacturing orientation anti-freeze surface in the indirect direction.
