In 1947, the Vietnamese people's resistance war against the invading French colonialists had achieved great results with the victory of Viet Bac Winter - Autumn Campaign. This is a strategic victory of our army and people under the smart leadership of the Party Central Committee and President Ho Chi Minh. The victory failed the French colonialists' conspiracy of "fight quickly and win quickly", marking their failure in the ambition to exterminate the main army and our resistance headquarters. It was their failure that force the French to turn back to long -term fight with our army. In the victory of Viet Bac Winter - Autumn in 1947, the front on Lo River played an important role. The battles on Lo River were typical ones of great significance in 1947 Viet Bac Winter – Autumn Campaign , as well as the people’s resistance war against the invading French colonialists.
