Abstract

The results have identified 62 species and subspecies of terrestrial snails in the study area, belonging to 18 families, 4 orders, and 3 subclasses. The subclass Neritimorpha has 2 families (Helicinidae and Hydrocenidae). Caenogastropoda has 3 families (Cyclophoridae, Diplommatinidae, Pupinidae). Heterobranchia has the largest number of families with 13 families (Veronicelidae, Achatinidae, Diapheridae, Streptaxidae, Plectopylidae, Gastrocoptidae, Clausiliidae, Philomycidae, Chronidae, Trochomorphidae, Ariophantidae, Helicarionidae, Camaenidae). Research and synthesis results have added 22 new land snail species to Van Chai area (Ha Giang) and added 7 species to the list of terrestrial gastropod mollusks in Vietnam. Distribution characteristics: The natural forest habitat on rocky mountains has the highest number of species with 46 species, followed by farming with 35 species, the lowest in the natural forest habitat on the mountain with only 21 species.
