Abstract : On their development journey, the Vietnamese people have always had a sense of direction towards their roots by building for themselves a system of unique cultural values. Those cultural values are constantly preserved and developed by generations of Vietnamese people for suitability the context of the new period . In which gratitude is one of the most unique traditional cultural values, which has been raised into the life motto and life ethic of Vietnamese people for generations. The author's article through analyzing the expressions of gratitude in Vietnamese cultural life; on that basis, it helps us to identify and promotion the good values of the culture of gratitude from the tradition to the present to contribute to the building of Vietnamese culture and people in the context of exchange and international integration.
