RESEARCH ON THE CURRENT SITUATION AND THE DEMAND FOR FIRST AID SKILLS TRAINING AMONG STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION, HA TINH UNIVERSITY

This study was conducted to survey the current state of knowledge, skills and first aid training needs of students at the Faculty of Education, Ha Tinh University. We surveyed 376 students of the Faculty of Education with questionnaires on their understanding of 4 basic skills: cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), foreign bodies in the airway, bone fractures, and hemostasis. The results showed that the proportion of students with weak level of understanding was 347/376, accounting for 92.29%; Students ranked average were 28/376, accounting for 7.45%; There are 1/376 students rated good, accounting for 0.27%, and no student is rated excellent. Statistics show that only 2.4% of students have participated in first aid training, 93.4% of students want to participate in training and more than 70% want to participate in the form of experience. practical practice. We have also proposed measures to improve awareness and first aid skills for students of the Faculty of Education, Ha Tinh University.
