Researching literature from a cultural perspective is the scientific approach, contributing to the overall recognition of the work. The article explores the aspects of cuisine culture with the characteristics of the Northern Delta region in “Scents of The Past” by Nguyen Quang Thieu by describing how to set a daily meal, how to select materials, how to cook and enjoy typical dishes. This shows the strong influence of culture on literature and the speacial attraction of literature when viewed from a cultural perspective.
