Intellectual property management is a crucial issue in higher education in the context of digital transformation and serves as criteria in the AUN-QA assessment at the institutional level; however, this concept has received limited attention in research conducted in Vietnam. Although intellectual property management at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has achieved certain results, there are still many difficulties and limitations. The paper presents the results of researching the current state of intellectual property management in the context of digital transformation at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM to meet the requirements of education in the knowledge economy. The findings of the research on the current state will provide insights for improvement and potential enhancements in intellectual property management practices within similar higher education institutions.
