CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS FOR PROMOTING HI-TECH AGRICULTURE APPLICATION IN PRODUCTION, PRESERVATION AND PROCESSING IN BAC KAN PROVINCE

Samples of Ligusticum wallichii Franch were collected in some Northern mountainous provinces - Vietnam: Ban Khoang - Sa Pa - Lao Cai (SP1), Y Ty - Bat Xat - Lao Cai (BX1), Thach Lam - Bao Lam - Cao Bang (BL1), Thai An - Quan Ba - Ha Giang (QB1), Sa De Phin - Sin Ho - Lai Chau (SH1). In this experiment, the varieties were able to grow and develop well in Sa Pa, Lao Cai and had an average crop height of 119 - 137cm; dry tuber yield was from 92.8 to 107.7 quintals/ha; ferulic acid content reached 0.071 to 0.082%, both higher than that of Vietnam Pharmacopoeia V. In which, the SH1 cultivar had the highest yield and content of ferulic acid in the dry tuber, significantly higher to the rest of the samples.
