Academic advisors play an important role in helping students to adapt and promote their competence in learning environment. Many universities have organized conferences and seminars to discuss the position and role of academic advisors as well as solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work, however, there have not been many articles that have mentioned deeply to the management of Academic advisors model in the Vietnamese university environment. This learning model has been applied and gained achievements thanks to cooperation of the departments in BacLieu University. Yet, this model is still facing some difficulties. Based on analysis of situation of academic advisor activity, the article suggests recommendations to overcome difficulties and improve efficiency of academic advisor at BacLieu University in the future.
