DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN EDUCATION AT THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY: THE REALITY AND CHALLENGES

The information technology explosion has had a great impact on all fields, including education and training. This study aims to learn about the reality of digital transformation at Thai Nguyen University (TNU) and the challenges in the digital transformation process. The research used quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method aims to synthesize previous studies and statistics and quantify the results achieved by TNU in the process of digital transformation. The qualitative method was conducted through observation, interview, and analysis to point out the difficulties in the digital transformation process and solutions to overcome the difficulties in the implementation process. Research results show that digital transformation has been implemented at TNU. It improves the quality of educational management, teaching, and learning and, therefore, has brought about many positive changes. However, because it is a regional university, it is necessary to have an interconnection between the member units of TNU while improving connectivity for everyone, ensuring access to technology is transparent, and having a plan to support training for lecturers and students on network security and information security in the digital environment.
