Abstract

The composition of zoobenthos in Nam Dinh - Thai Binh coastal areas has been detected 111 species, belonging to 83 genera, 51 families, 24 orders, 6 classes and 5 groups (Crustacea, Bivalvia, Gastropoda, Polychaeta and Arthropoda). The three main groups of benthic animals in the regional ecosystem are gastropods with 38 species, bivalve with 36 species, Crustacea with 34 species. Two groups have low species composition (Polychaeta with 2 species and Arthropoda with 1 species). From the results showed that the coastal area of Nam Dinh - Thai Binh has a relatively diverse species composition, the main composition is Gastropoda, Bivalvia and Crustacea accounting for about 97.3% of the total number of identified species.

Distribution of benthic animals in marine ecosystems depends on broad ecological applications or may vary by species or group: In the coastal alluvial area, there are species living in saltwater and brackish water (Portunidae); Common in benthic ecosystems ((Nassariidae, Naticidae, ...); Temporary Migratory Group (Amphibabalanus amphitrite). The biodiversity index in the coastal area of ​​Ninh Binh has a low biodiversity index (H' = 2.78).
