Abstract

This article presents the results of bibliometric analysis research aimed at examining the current state and research trends regarding teachers in STEAM education for preschool children globally, with a specific focus on Vietnam. The dataset of 108 articles has been extracted from Scopus and analyzed using VOSViewer and R (Biblioshiny) software. Research results revealed a significant surge in publications in this field since 2015, with the United States leading in both quantity and impact. Research topics predominantly centered around the role of teachers in implementing STEAM education for preschool children, encompassing aspects of teaching methods, curriculum content, and professional development of teachers. Vietnam emerged as a newcomer in research on this topic, with four major studies primarily assessing the awareness and skills related to STEAM education among teachers, students, and the challenges encountered. We also provide recommendations for future research, including fostering research initiatives and collaborative efforts in the context of Vietnam.
