ASSESSMENT OF THE CURRENT SITUATION OF LAND USE IN 2021 FOR BANG LUNG TOWN – CHO DON DISTRICT – BAC KAN PROVINCE

The study is to evaluate the current status and changes in the area of land use types in Bang Lung town, Cho Don district, Bac Kan province in 2021. In the study, the author uses data collection and synthesis methods; from there processing, analyzing, and comparing the results; combined with the investigation to drawing borders, and editing the map using Microstation software. The results show that the town has a total natural land area of 2,496.39 ha, agricultural land area is 2,069.46 ha, accounting for 82.90%; the non-agricultural land area is 250.57 ha, accounting for 10.04%; the unused land area is 174.69 ha, accounting for 7.06%. Bang Lung town has changed in land area in the direction: the decrease in the agricultural land area compared to 2014 with the reason of changing the purpose to non-agricultural land, mainly infrastructure construction; the area of the non-agricultural land group increased compared to 2014 with the reason that it was converted from agricultural land and unused land. Based on the current land use assessment, this study proposes solutions to improve the management of land use efficiency.
