Nguyen1 and Russell Belk (March, 2012) and “Our Family Functions: Functions of Traditional Weddings for Modern Brides and Postmodern Families”, Medora W. Barnes John Carroll University, U.S.A. (2014) are used to get processed data to analyze as the evidence of traditional weddings in each country because of their detailed records of wedding components. According to cultural construction theory, the term “wedding” is reconceptualized and deconstructed into wedding rituals, organization, party, atmosphere and ceremonies to interpret the similarities as well as differences between Vietnamese and American wedding cultures.
