Research on ability to inhibit Fusarium decemcellulare and Fusarium lateritium causing ulcerative stems and trunks of endogenous bacteria

Abstract

The Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain is a valuable and rare timber species with high economic value in Vietnam. Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain planting activities in recent years have been quite active, but the seed sources are mainly floating and the quality of seedlings is not high. In recent years, concentrated skimmed plantation and seedlings are often affected by Fusarium decemcellulare and F. lateritium, which cause stem and ulcer diseases, affecting the growth and quality of plants. This study isolated and purified 12 endogenous bacteria strains from fresh branch specimens of 15 experimental milk trees in Phu Tho to develop disease-preventing probiotics. Evaluating the effectiveness of Fusarium decemcellulare and F. lateritium caused stem-ulcer disease of endogenous bacteria strains that have identified two strains of bacteria (KD6.3 and KD5.3) with strong inhibition ability for Fusarium decemcellulare and F. lateritium. F. decemcellulare and 2 strains (KD6.3 and KD2.1) showed moderate inhibition of F. lateritium. The results of this research show that it is possible to use 3 endogenous bacteria strains (KD6.3, KD5.3 and KD2.1) to continue researching to create biological preparations to prevent stem ulcer disease for Dalbergia tonkinensis Prain.
