Abstract

Teaching natural science by experimental method has been widely used in education in countries around the world and in Vietnam. In primary school, the content of Science subject is integrated of 03 fields of natural sciences, namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology. According to the requirements of educational innovation, Science subject (2018) is conducted in the orientation of forming and developing students' qualities and competences. Using the experimental method to teach the contents of Science subject (2018) is completely in line with the requirements and goals of developing the quality and scientific competences of primary school students. This study surveyed 120 primary teachers in Ho Chi Minh city and analyzed the current state of awareness about new points of the subject curricula, the effectiveness of applying experimental methods in teaching Science according to the 2018 program.
